We have a fantastic opportunity, if you are interested in nature and scare easy to insects..
Our clients are looking for 2 junior roles supporting production and food processing activities at Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire.
The role is temporary but may lend to a permanent job in 3 months depending on performance.
Pay Rate is £10.58 you will be working 37.5 Hours 9.00-17.00 with a 30mins paid break.
What your day will look like
· Maintaining the fly / Larvae colonies
· Feeding larvae and making up batches of feed.
· Using hand-tools and automated machinery for the preparation of food and feeds.
· Supporting with site hygiene and cleanliness to ensure standards are consistently high.
· Performing data entry and the updating of production paperwork.
· Operating the shredder and Mill to process food by-products into insect-feed.
· Operating a tray-washing machine and jet wash to ensure production equipment is clean and ready to be used.
· Some manual handling of feed barrels, bags and mixtures (up to 25kg sacks at times.)
Our client is one of the largest insect production businesses in the UK, which specialise in both the breeding of the Black Soldier Fly as well as the design and manufacture of our own unique Black Soldier Fly Automated Container Farms.
Please be aware that the nature of these role does involve at times handling and being around insects (both flies and larvae / maggots) so it’s important that you are aware of this and are confident in your ability to work in that environment. The insects do not bite or carry any known diseases.
