Job Overview

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager supporting a planning team with a key interface role between production planning, internal & external customers and vendors. The purpose of the job is to collate and review data to support controlling inventory levels and to plan and manage customer and supplier orders to meet delivery requirements.

What is the Supply Chain Support expected to do?

Maintain metrics to support KPI's
Work closely with planning and production teams to latest information is regularly communicated
Progress and expedite any late deliveries directly with suppliers and internal sites using escalation process as and when required
Support the planning team with data entry and processing of necessary paperwork
Continually update the system with any purchase order changes to the requested/confirmed delivery date and quantities
Highlight any issues with suppliers and the impact to the business
Track, investigate and report reasons for any material stock outs as soon as they become visible
Maintain inventory levels within the agreed boundaries

What qualifications and experience is required?

Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation
Experience of working in a fast moving, intense environment
First class prioritising skills in a rapidly changing conflicting demands environment
Excellent attention to detail is essential
A team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office programs
Ability to use your own initiative and work effectively under pressure
