We are currently recruiting on behalf of our Highway Maintenance and Construction client for a number of Schedulers to join them on a permanent basis in London.

You will be responsible for the coordination, allocation & planning of works – communicating the works programmes across the contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those who have a background of Scheduling/Planning/Administration and you’re keen to progress your career in the Highways industry, with many chances to progress internally!

My client receives circa 5,000 enquiries per month. As the Scheduler you’ll be responsible for reviewing and actioning the customer queries to ensure works are undertaken within the framework of the contract and performance targets are met.

Upon your successful application, as the Scheduler you will work hours 3pm – 11pm.

Job Description

Ensure that the gang deployment records are completed daily for all gangs and resources.
Dynamically manages schedule for quick response and Emergency activities.
Complete the necessary applications for work permits associated with all works to progress.
Review reactive jobs and whether permanent repairs are required, or any follow-on works are needed.
Support other activities within the Operations Hub, such as acting as a back-up telephone desk operators at times of peak demand to process web enquiries and upload to the system.
Take Orders completed by the Inspectors and Officers and prioritise emergency jobs urgent for action.
Requirements

Knowledge of any of the following systems would be an advantage: Confirm, Causeway, Mobile workforce, or MS Excel
Experience in Construction industry, more specifically Highways would be a huge advantage
A background of Scheduling/Planning/Administration is essential
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Experience of Microsoft Packages / IT literate
Experience Data Entry
Highly Organised
