Manpower Recruitment are looking for a Permanent Procurement and Operations Assistant to join a small and friendly office based in Thame.

This is an exciting role for somone who is familiar with purchasing and supplier relationships in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have experience of working in an office environment and of communicating effectively with suppliers and manufacturing staff members alike. A friendly and professional manner is essential, together with attention to detail and a willingness to take on a variety of administrative tasks, including data entry, analysis and presentation.

Demonstratable success in reducing costs whilst ensuring the continuity of supply and quality are met will be required.

Key responsibilities

Running re-order reports for current stock status
Compiling, placing, tracking and recording orders
Ensuring Manufacturing always have the correct components required for staying ahead on the schedule
Sourcing new products and/or suppliers and producing pricing comparison reports
Maintaining stocks and stores control and reporting to management
Maintaining constant communication lines between manufacturing and commercial departments, liaising continuously between Commercial Manager and Workshop Supervisor
Any other tasks that may reasonably be requested particularly as an assistant to the Operations Director.Personal Attributes:

Own transport preferable due to locationNormal working hours are 7.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, but some flexibility would be an advantage to suit demands.

Salary would be between £10-12.5ph depending on level of experience.
