Pertemps are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading industry company based in the Stourbridge area.
Due to major business wins, the company are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join their growing Purchasing and Procurement team.
Key responsibilities as a Purchasing Assistant:
* Answering inbound queries via phone and email.
* Making phone calls to new and existing customers/suppliers.
* Data entry.
* Raising purchase orders and payment requests.
* Managing invoices.
* Liaising with the procurement manager, customer services, finance and sales teams.
* Freight tracking and import management.
Skills & experience required:
* Strong IT skills.
* Experience using MRP/ERP systems or something similar.
* Experience of international imports and shipping.
* Previous purchasing/supply chain experience.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.
* High levels of integrity and professional ethics.
You will be working Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm.
£10.26 p/hour.
Temp on-going with the view of going perm for the right candidate – immediate start work.
