Overview
MEP PLANNER – Construction & Commissioning SSA are currently recruiting for a very successful building services company for an MEP planner role in London in a very steadily growing company. They are seeking an MEP Planner to join to be responsible for the creation and the management of Construction and Commissioning programmes. The candidate will be ensuring that all key design, procurement and construction duties are captured.
Key responsibilities
• Visit sites to fulfil reviews of progress and review with team delays, risks and critical path analysis.
• Ability to produce programmes in detail and options quickly as requested by clients.
• Create strong relationships with internal teams, consultants and clients.
• Work alongside the Site Team to manage all programme and planning activities on specific projects
• Prepare short term programmes and fulfil any project specific exercises, for example, reprogramming and allocating resources.
• Attend all required meetings including team meetings, sub-contractor and design meetings.
• Monitor any changes and assess the risk on the agreed programmes.
• carry out delay analysis when necessary and prepare reports to aid with any EOT applications.
• Suggest programme recovery actions or programme betterment opportunities.
• Maintain full change log records, for all programmes
The Ideal Candidate:
* HNC/Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
* experience in tender stage planning related to a developer/contracting organisation
* Strong MEP knowledge within infrastructure, installation and commissioning sequences of M&E services
* Proven understanding of the project cycle and appreciation of any challenges of developing and managing project programmes for residential building projects through all lifecycle stages
* • Excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of Planning software including Asta PowerProject/ MS Project
