Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Recruitment
* Support the Senior HR Advisor with the recruitment process in its entirety from advertisement to onboarding new starter, including the collation of essential new starter paperwork, and liaising with recruitment agencies as and when required
* Daily management of recruitment tracker providing updates to key stakeholders on recruitment when requested
Core HR
* Demonstrate a good understanding and interest of current Employment Law legislation and upcoming changes, and support the Senior HR Advisor with low level Employee Relations cases
* Administration of employee life cycle paperwork including but not limited to; salary changes, job role changes, acknowledgment of resignations etc, ensuring that an accurate audit trail of changes is maintained for all staff
* Support the use of the Bradford Factor to manage absence levels across the business through regular reporting
* Act as first point of contact for employee HR related queries; escalating to the Senior HR Advisor when necessary
Administration & Reports
* Maintain and update PeopleHR to show starters, leavers, salaries, emergency contacts etc
* Manage GDPR data requests for engineers attending high security sites
* Add starters to the H&S online training platform, and maintain the training matrix for all completed training
* Obtain employee references for all new starters
* Other ad-hoc tasks as and when required by the Senior HR Advisor
* Use PeopleHR to provide insightful weekly/monthly reports
Payroll
* Managing the monthly payroll process from start to finish; inputting Starter and Leaver details on to SAGE Payroll, processing P45's, Starter declarations, P60's & P11D’s, managing pension deductions, payments and submissions, processing SMP, SSP, company sick pay, PAYE and other statutory payments/deductions and uploading payroll payments to the bank for approval.
* Reviewing and reconciling payroll to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time, and resolving payroll related queries
* Calculating and inputting additional holiday pay, overtime and standby payments
* Downloading HMRC notifications, inputting tax codes and student loans, auditing any tax code changes
* Maintaining accurate information to ensure debts, advances and other deductions and payments are correctly processed and managed
* Processing employee expenses and float payments and uploading payments to the bank for approval
* Point of contact for HMRC and the pension provider
Person Specifications:
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
* Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office essential
* Accurate data entry skills
* Excellent communication and organisation skills
* Maintain strict confidentiality and sensitivity without any exceptions
* Ability to work to tight deadlines, with the ability to prioritise tasks
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal
