Overview
We have an exciting new position for a Housing Administrator, who will work predominantly with a specialist housing provider supporting vulnerable adults.
It is a permanent, full-time position (Subject to a 6-month probationary period) working Monday– Friday 09:00 – 17:00. A successful candidate will be offered the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week and 3 days from the office there Head Office is located in Adlington.

The proposed salary is £20,000.00 per annum dependant on experience

Regularly update contact lists within Housing Management database.
Provide field-based Housing Managers with administrative support where required.Develop and maintain efficient and accurate manual filing systems – data entry, system logging.
Process any compliments/complaints received, and send to appropriate senior management for response.
Interacting over the telephone with clients in a professional manner
Meticulous record-keeping
Submitting Housing Benefit claims on behalf of tenants, contacting local authorities re. suspensions or cancellations
Processing assessments on to the system and making calls to the clients and the professionals associated with the individual e.g social workers, financial appointees etc
Communicating with local authorities around council tax charges
Organising compliance related bookings for legal required inspections e.g annual gas safety inspections, EPC etc
Co-ordinate the completion of window cleaning and gardening by external contractors on behalf of the properties
Develop and maintain internal Housing related administrative systems and controls
Maintain a tidy and efficient office environment
Provide Housing Managers with administrative support where required
Sending formal correspondence to landlords around maintenance works that fall under their responsibility.
Photo-copying and printing various documents, sometimes on behalf of colleagues
Using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access etc.wide range of individuals at all levels makes the job varied and interesting.
Essential
Fluency in English
Proven experience in office administration and good knowledge of management systems
Excellent attention to detail
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly words processing and spreadsheet skills

· Excellent time-management skillsWe are looking for a hard-working and extremely organised individual, who is dedicated and passionate about making a positive impact on there tenants. You will need to be able to effectively prioritise emergency work that is reported, as well as progress any pre-planned work.
You will need good problem-solving skills and be capable of organising ongoing repairs and maintenance tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of data protection and regulatory property compliance standards is preferred.
