A multi award-winning Main Contractor specialising in delivering high-quality construction projects across the UK. Priding themselves on building long-term relationships, the company has acquired partnerships with some of the UK’s leading developers, retailers and logistics businesses and boast an impressive level of repeat business. The firm are on a journey of rapid and sustained growth and are currently delivering projects ranging from £20m-£100m on average.
Projects are predominantly delivered on a new-build, refurbishment or fit-out basis in the following sectors: commercial, industrial & retail.
The Role
The role has opened due to the business successfully tendering several new build construction projects. The company is looking for a Document Controller who will be responsible for keeping track of important project documents like project plans, blueprints, vendor contracts and drawings. The successful candidate will also be creating reports for construction managers, keeping documentation safe and backed up and performing data entry tasks when project documents need updating.
Other duties and responsibilities include:
* Maintenance of documents and revisions to the EDMS to ensure complete and up to date repository of information that is correctly audited from all parties
* Distribution of information to the relevant internal, designs and client teams
* Ensuring compliance across all project’s information in line with standards, protocols, and security measures
* Liaising with external consultants and subcontractors, etc regarding document management and approval requirements
* Produce and regularly update trackers and reports for the project to record progress and update the team
* QA check information to company information standards and ensure it is distributed to the relevant workflows and review appropriately by internal teams
* Assist with any training when required
* Support site teams with the use of the EDMS, administrative tasks and any ad hoc duties
* General Ad-hoc duties as required
