This is a working from home position but you can attend the office in York if you wish
Client: Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA)
Location: York or working from home
Shift work 4 days on 4 days off
Shift times: 6am – 5pm & 1pm – 12am
Contract length: Temporary until December 2022. Chance of extension subject to business requirements
Pay – £11.03 per hour. 12.5% shift increase once shift work commencesThe client:

The role:
As a member of The Centre for International Trade you will be involved in programmes of work relating to the import and export of plants and plant products. Specifically, you will:
Handle a wide range of administrative tasks such as producing Export Certificates and checking documents on consignments of plant imports.
Provide advice to customers who want to import or export plants and plant products. These customers will be seeking guidance on remaining compliant with the UKs biosecurity standards, so you will be offering advice on this after your in depth training
Coordinate the physical inspections of goods, and you will advise others on the relevant procedures.
What skills and experience we are looking for in you:
Strong administration/data entry skills
Good communication skills for when interacting with customers
Strong MS office skills
Can work part of a team and independently The shift patterns:
The shift patterns for these roles are 4 days on and 4 days off. You will alternate between the 6am – 5pm shift and the 1pm – 12am shift
Your first couple of weeks will be full time 9-5
You will receive a 12.5% shift increase once shift work commences
