My client is now looking to recruit an experienced Class 1 skilled Fabricator / Plater.
The Fabricator/ Plater will be responsible for performing a variety of fabricating and welding activities to support the manufacturing facility using Carbon, Stainless Steels & High Nickel Alloys.

You will need to have a strong understanding of processes and materials to fulfil delivery of Flare Tips, Power Burner, Process Burners, Skids and Pressure Vessel fabrications. Your ability to interpret engineering drawings to determine materials and cutting lists as well as planning task sequences will be crucial.
Key to this role will be your ability to determine priorities to ensure continuous workflow between disciplines ultimately achieving target dates and on time delivery.
As Fabricator / Plater, you will carry out and tack up fabrications accurately, safely and to consistent levels of finish to the set quality standards as determined by contract specifications.
The Fabricator/ Plater will be required to understand the Quality Assurance system for materials entry, follow welding procedures fabrication drawings and will have had experience with producing products compliant within a Quality System (ISO9001:2015).
Role & Responsibilities
* Interpretation of isometrics and engineering drawings.
* Fabricate parts from drawings.
* Good understanding of imperial / metric dimensions.
* Prepare parts for welding (saw, pillar drill, grinding, pipe bending, pipe threading, weld preparation)
* Welding or preparation and tack up of class 1 / ISO 3834 welding activities, including understanding and interpretation of WPS. Welded joints, (to include fillet, lap, corner and butt (open and double sided) in accordance with the requirements of ASME IX ISO 15614.
* Prepare parts for welding (saw, pillar drill, grinding, pipe bending, pipe threading, weld preparation)
* Ensure ALL machines are checked on a daily basis completing relevant check sheets.
Skills
* Minimum of 10 years Fabricating experience in an Oil & Gas, Pipefitting, Pressure Vessel or similar environment.
* Good understanding of engineering drawings
* GCSE grade A-C Maths, English and Science.
* Good communicator verbal and written.
* Good team player.
* Good time-keeping and attendance record.
* Well organised and efficient.
* Confident and Assertive.
* Ability use initiative.
* Conscientious.
* Driving Licence.
* Fork Lift Licence.
* Confident and able to work unsupervised.
* Class 1 Skilled Fabricator/Welder (will be expected to pass a class 1 TIG fillet weld test)
* Pressure vessel and pipework within the petrochemical industry experience.
* Clean work area and put up all tools at the end of each shift.
* Flexible and able to work on multiple jobs during one shift.
* Lives within 1 hour commute to the office, or willing to relocate locally.
* Must be able to drive.
