Job Title: Patient Care Advisor/Administrator Apprentice

Location: Brighton

Salary: £13,318.50 per annum

Full time: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm

Our client is a professional medical centre who are looking for an apprentice to join their team. Assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way.

Provide general and administrative assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.

Responsibilities

Administration

To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures.
To work in accordance with written protocols.
Scanning of all incoming post.
Processing new patient registrations.
Sending patient information via post/email/Accurx
Processing requests for on-line access
Dealing with medical report requests.Reception

Receiving patients consulting with members of practice team.
Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
Be able to cover all reception positions as necessaryAppointments

Process appointment requests for today, future appointments from patients by telephone and in person, using a computerised system.
Deal with visits requests.
Recording requests for home visits and contacting duty doctor.Computer

Registrations of new patients computer data entry and medical records.
Process patients change of address computer data and medical records (have knowledge of practice area.
Process repeat prescription request in accordance with practice guidelines.Telephone

Have working knowledge of telephone, during and after hours.
Answering telephone, taking messages and redirecting queries as appropriate.Desired Skills
