The Midlands Leading Recruitment agency Farley and Jones are currently looking for a talented Finance Assistant to join their team in Solihull

As a successful Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for receiving and processing invoices, seeking approval for invoice payments whilst ensuring the correct codes are applied. You will be highly numerate, with a strong understanding of the importance of accuracy.



Book in deliveries of goods, raise Dispatch notes, picking/ packing list and commercial invoices and share tracking details to ensure deadlines are met.Maintain and ensure relevant spreadsheets and documents are kept updated, utilising the required system in line with company standard and procedures.

* Assist in writing manuals and managing internal systems and procedures.

* Assisting in financial reconciliations to ensure data entry is correct.

* Chasing debt by telephone, letter and email.

* Liaising internally with sales staff to resolve queries and raise invoices.

* Sending copy invoices and statements as required.

* Handling any purchase enquiries or disputes with suppliers.

* Providing support to the operation teams where needed.

* Managing the holiday and sick leave chart.

* General Ad-hoc duties and other admin as and when required.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

* 1 year previous experience within a similar role is essential

* A positive attitude and work ethic

* High attention to detail

* Ability to work well within a small team

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Competent IT skills, (intermediate excel)

* Experience of SAP would be beneficial but not essential

* Highly organised


* £22,000 – £24,000
