Overview
Our client, a global manufacturer and provider of capital equipment within the FMCG market, is seeking an experienced PLC Controls Engineer to join their EMEA team. In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to travel throughout Europe and the Middle East, delivering innovative projects for an array of customers from household names to small family-run producers, predominantly within the food manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities:
As the PLC Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing or reviewing automation and network design layouts of our equipment, commissioning PLC controls for processing, product handling and packaging equipment, advising and assisting sales and project teams to win new business, and much more. You will be working with other engineering disciplines (Mechanical) to deliver a successful project, helping to guide global controls standard development and its impact to the region you support, and designing training material or manuals as it relates to controls.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this role will be an Electrical Engineer supported by relevant qualifications and experiences, with extensive experience of programming PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems from scratch, including Allen Bradley, Rock AB, and Siemens, among others. You should also have knowledge of the workings of system control panels, experience in a continuous process environment, and evidence of creating Method Statements and Risk Assessments. Familiarity with CE and Health and Safety requirements, Microsoft Office software packages, excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, and flexibility in their approach to work are also essential. Extensive travel experience across EMEA and fluency in multiple languages would be a distinct advantage.

The role will be based from your home in the UK, although access to a major airport would be advantageous.
