Jark Bradford Ltd Commercial Recruitment Division are currently recruiting on behalf of our client looking for a Business Support Officer to work based in Batley WF17 and Huddersfield HD1. The ability to travel between different work locations by car or public transport will be required on a planned basis.

You will be working in the Business Economy and Growth Service, with a focus on the Business Centres; which play a key role in supporting the establishment, growth and development of local, new start and small to medium sized businesses (SME’s)

The Job Role:
As a Business Support Officer, you will support and contribute to the cost effective and efficient management of the premises, predominantly supporting operational maintenance and customer services. Working on a busy reception, for some of the week as part of your duties, you will be providing front line services, and excellent customer care, ensuring that tenants and visitors have the best possible experience.

The role requires some understanding of working within a commercial setting or the capacity to learn and knowledge of issues facing small to medium enterprises would be helpful as you will be supporting tenants and may have the opportunity to arrange and carry out viewings of vacant premises.

The ability to process accurate data, and a working knowledge of using various IT packages is essential, as this role does require use of excel spreadsheets and data entry as well as using other finance systems for processing payments and invoices. Additional training will be provided on specific business systems for example SAP.

You will be working collaboratively with a small team where quick thinking and a pro-active approach is key. Whilst some understanding of facilities management and associated health and safety procedures would be desirable there will be ample opportunity to gain further training, learning and development in all aspects of the post for someone willing to learn.

Hours of work are: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm

Pay rate: £10.19 per hour
