Vacancy: Warehouse Assistant

Location: Feltham, Middlesex

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm

Salary: £23,000 per annum, full time permanent position + potential annual bonus + annual salary review

Start: ASAP

Our client, in the Feltham area, is looking for an experienced warehouse assistant with a great attitude to join a small team of staff in their business.

The business is well established but has seen considerable growth and expansion in the last 3 years including the addition of a distribution centre in Yorkshire.

The warehouse assistant will work in conjunction with the warehouse manager and small team of staff and will be responsible for:

Displaying excellent customer service skills – there are customers that collect from their warehouse
Loading vehicles in a manner that allows the driver to unload in a logical manner
Order picking and wrapping, labelling, and shipping
Operating forklift and other machinery – all training can be provided
Responsible for quality control and ensure that no damaged products are sent to customers
Cleaning and maintaining work area and machinery
Maintain health and safety standards
Ensure all orders are delivered on time
Performing cleaning and maintenance to ensure the work area is kept clean and tidy
Liaising with staff and managers to ensure that the above tasks are completed efficiently

Requirement:

Ideally at least two years previous warehouse experience preferred
Ideally have Forklift driving experience (reach truck) although this is not essential however a willingness to learn is an absolute must have.
Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
Dependable and Reliable
Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required

The ideal candidate will have great initiative, happy to work in a small team, be punctual and reliable and be capable of working in a physical role.

This client is looking for stability in the team and are therefore considering candidates that are looking for a stable and long term career with the opportunity to develop.

There is also the possibility that this role could lead to a supervisory role within the business.

Starting salary: £23,000 per annum + benefits + potential annual bonus.

Some overtime may also be available if desired.

There will also be an annual salary review in March every year.
