Trainee Customs Clearance Clerk
Office based role
Location: Stallingborough
Salary: £18k-£22k (dependant on experience)
Hours: Mon-Fri
Grafton Recruitment are working on behalf of a successful, leading company in Stallingborough who are recruiting for a Customs Clearance Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who would like to embark on a career within logistics, gaining experience within the Customs sector.
The role:
Being the first point of contact for client queries, answering calls and emails in a timely and professional manner
Providing current and potential clients with quotations
Communication with external and internal stakeholders
Accurate data entry
Liaising with importers/exporters and others to obtain mandatory information for import and export entries
Involved in the day to day customs clearance activitiesYou will need:
To communicate efficiently and express your ideas clearly and confidently at all levels verbally, in print and via the telephone
Time Management, ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks and working to deadlines
Drive and determination
Commercial Awareness, ability to understand the commercial realities affecting the organisation
IT Literate
Excellent attention to detail
