Duration: ASAP – Friday 7th Oct (funding permitting)

Working hours: arrangements between home and office work: Working in the office each day, Mon – Fri, 9.30am to 2.30pm (some hybrid may be possible) – 25 hrs a week

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Student Programmes Administrator to join a prestigious university based in Uxbridge.

Roles and responsibilities

Student Engagement, Student Support and Welfare

Deliver a student-focussed service that is consistently professional, welcoming, reliable, accessible and effective; including (but not exclusively) ensuring that student communication (including letters and transcripts) are produced/responded to in a timely and appropriate manner.
Support the administration of student attendance and engagement routines; maintaining TIER 4 compliance records and escalating where necessary if risk to engagement is identified.
Take an active supporting role in the co-ordination and delivery of College and Department led activities, such as student (electronic) handbook production, induction & registration, NSS activities, placement activity and graduation.
Support students in the submission of student extenuating circumstances, appeals and complaints; ensuring records are kept and maintained in a timely and appropriate manner.
Provide support and/or guidance for student facing administration functions on a day-to-day basis including timetabling, induction, registration and enrolment, bursary, transition and progression, tutor and supervisor allocation, assessment processes, examination arrangements and final assessment processes in accordance with procedures.Academic Administration

To maintain a sound knowledge of the range of College programmes, including module and assessment detail and ensure an understanding of how the Senate Regulations impact on the delivery of programmes of study.
Manage day to day submission routines, mark sheet administration and effective moderation procedures.
To support the Assessment and Curriculum Office (ACO) in examination and re-sit administration, including AN invigilation, to ensure these run effectively and comply with University regulations, policy and procedures and coordinating with University services when required to ensure these run effectively.
To support the ACO in the preparation process for panels and boards to ensure these run effectively and in accordance with University regulations, policy and procedures.
To provide support and minute taking at Departmental committees including Student Experience Committees, Panels and Boards; ensuring that actions arising are promptly dealt with and the results of the actions fed back at the next available opportunity.
To support the process of gathering programme and module feedback from students at appropriate times of the year and producing relevant data.Resource Planning and Management

To develop good working relationships with colleagues across College and University service departments, negotiating and influencing where necessary if processing is impacted by delays to decision making
To work in other areas/Departments within the College as required
To disseminate appropriate information received through a variety of mediums.
To meet regularly with the Student Programmes Manager to communicate resource and work flow requirements in order to ensure the administration provision is maintained to an acceptable standard throughout the cycle, and to manage your own workload Data and Record Management

To be confident and conversant with the records system (SITS) ensuring that student programme data entry and maintenance is accurate, timely and in accordance with relevant regulatory compliance.
To maintain accurate up to date records and high levels of operational knowledge across all aspects of the student SITS record in order to support the administrative processes across both the student and programme lifecycle, especially student programme data for modules, assessments, results, reassessment and annual progression; production of transcripts (HEAR) and Tier 4 compliance.
