Overview

A leading engineering company based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, are recruiting for an experienced Finance Administrator to specialize within Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable within the established finance team. This is a fast paced, transactional accounts role for a sage 50 and excel proficient Accounts Assistant to join a leading contracting firm on a full time, permanent basis.

Finance Administrator – Purchase ledger Position Overview

Responsible for updating the purchase order system with invoices from supplierResponsible for receiving all invoices in to the department from sub-contractors and suppliersCode and check invoice validityEnsure VAT &CIS amounts stated on invoices are correctEnsure data is correct on each invoice and costs are in line with the purchase order systemData Entry of all invoices into Sage to ensure payments are made to suppliers/sub-contractors on timeEnsure invoices are filed correctly and archivedResolve supplier invoice queries in a timely mannerCheck and reconcile supplier invoices to supplier statementsPayment of suppliers in a timely mannerManage supplier payment expectationsCheck,process and pay employee expense claims in line with company policyReview and investigate supplier debit balancesDaily bank reconciliations for all payments leaving the bankEnd of month bank reconciliationsReconcile credit card receipts and post to the ledgerMaintain employee mileage recordsSubmit HMRC payments by statutory datesSubmit CIS returns by statutory dates

Finance Administrator – Purchase ledger Position Requirements

The majority of the finance administration is completed within Sage although the ability to manipulate data in excel spreadsheets is also a key requirement.A minimum of two years'experience within purchase ledger /accounts payable

Finance Administrator – Purchase ledger Position Remuneration

08.00 – 17.00 Monday – Friday
£23,000 – £25,000
Dependent on skills and experience
20 days holiday + bank holidays
Possibility of hybrid working after 6 months' probation
