Role: Planning Engineer – Electronic Manufacturing
We are looking for a planning engineer with a background in electronic manufacturing and process engineering to join our production planning team.
Our planning department is a central function of our manufacturing operation. The team interfaces directly with customers to organise, plan, and monitor production schedules. They also interface with internal departments to ensure manufacturing is completed to defined standards, quality conditions and within planned timeframes.
Key elements
Enacting customer purchase orders/contract review process for NPI and production-type orders
System configuration, handling and implementing concessions, and organising digital data
Working with multi-level BOMs, digital data, drawing sets, and part numbers
Creating and planning work orders with consideration for the entire build process and granular-level information
Organising production schedules for key departments
Compiling operational notes for process control
Producing concise written production guides/works instructions for operators
Monitoring and supporting NPI orders, closing feedback loops, and monitoring engineering updates
Confirming order acknowledgments and supporting customers and account managers with RFI’s and progress
Supporting production engineers with queries and questions
Skills Required
Understanding of electronic manufacturing for PCB technology
Attention to detail, a finisher
Organised and self-disciplined
Experienced PC|MS user
ERP & MRP user
Multi-level Bills of materials
Comprehension of mechanical drawings
Works order creation and date planning against capacity loading
Able to communicate with staff, customers and suppliers
Advantageous skills
Use of IPC610 and/or AS9100 standards
Background in electronics and/or a quality-related function
Process engineering
Core hours
Mon-Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm
Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm
