We’re currently hiring for a Production Operative to join a friendly, family run manufacturer based in Macclesfield. Due to the company’s rapid growth, they’re hiring for an operative who has great attention to detail to assist them with the manufacture of cables to a high standard.
What’s on offer?
* £19,760 per annum
* Rotating shifts (6:00am – 14:30pm / 11:30am – 22:00pm)
* Free on-site parking
What will you be doing as a Production Operative?
* Manufacturing of cables which includes running machines/processes to achieve the highest possible output
* Stripping coils off mandrels, coiling cables, reversing cables and doing the end preparations of cables
* Carrying out support activity whilst your machine is running, such as set-up preparation, quality in-process testing & measurement, cleaning/housekeeping, data entry/recording and material supply
* Working safely, within specified training and risk assessments whilst supporting a culture of Zero Harm through your behaviour
What do you need?
* Previous experience working in a fast-paced factory environment
* Enthusiasm and highly motivated
* Strong safety ethic and personal safety record
* Strong organisational & communication skills
* Aptitude for working with computers
* A team player and ‘can do’ attitude
* Brilliant attention to detail
