Overview
Our client, a leading manufacturer who has multiple sites across the UK is looking to recruit a Process Engineer to join their team in Grimshaw, Darwen. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday – Friday days and will receive a salary of £36,000. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for
* Identifying ways in which they can improve throughput and production performance.
* Carrying out strip downs, refurbishments, and re-design of equipment to remove waste and improve worn or obsolete pieces of equipment
* Performing day-to-day delivery of maintenance tasks, specifically, the development of production equipment to improve performance
* Implementing, maintaining, and training on new equipment which is installed such as collaborative robots and AGV systems
* Providing effective and efficient support to the Engineering Supervisor and Maintenance Team including the compilation of end of shift reports, root cause analysis, fault logging and data entry
* Identifying the root cause of faults and prioritising corrective actions
* Monitoring and reviewing day-to-day equipment performance and improving outputs
* Taking the lead in optimisation initiatives, taking on project work and playing an integral role in continuous improvements
Required experience
* Minimum 5 years qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering
* First-hand experience in maintaining automation equipment, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), along with a flexible approach and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality.
