Are you an immediately available Payroll candidate? Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a well-established business, who are looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator to support their payroll team, to cover a period of maternity within the company. This is an immediate requirement and will initially be on a 12 month contract term, but might extend/go permanent.

You will be joining a close knit Payroll Team, that have responsibility for the production of payroll for two divisions within the business, operating on both monthly & weekly cycles.

Key Responsibilities will include:

* Day to day preparation & input of data for payroll production
* Payroll processing – 10+ payrolls run each month
* Joiner & Leaver administration
* Absence management & recording
* Salary / allowance / benefit changes
* Maintaining statutory obligations (PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMAPP, AEOs, NMW, etc)
* Managing variable pay input, calculation of bonus schedules where appropriate, inbound payment interfaces
* Participation in auditing and correction of Payroll data entry
* Management & reconciliation of third party payments (pension, childcare, attachments, voluntary deductions)
* Provision of management information, KPIs, etc
* Review & maintain accurate process documents & flowcharts
* Assist with review / analysis of year end submissions (P60/ P11D)
* Scrutinise current processes and discuss improvements as appropriate
* Maintain controls appropriate to the function of the department
* Provide support to the provision of Corporate Mobile Phones to employees
* Will be required to assist in other tasks as necessary within the Payroll / HR Teams

Skills & Experience:

* Thorough proficiency with Payroll practices, activities & legislative obligations
* Knowledge of Financial / HR activities & processes and their impact / linkage to a payroll environment
* Knowledge of IRIS Pay Right Software would be advantageous
* Knowledge of basic bookkeeping, accounting and auditing processes
* Advanced level of Excel experience essential to support data analysis
* Able to produce exceptionally accurate work within stringent & conflicting deadlines
