Overview

This childcare organisation is looking to recruit a Part-time Logistics Administrator, on a permanent basis or on a 12 month contract, to carry out all operations and logistics tasks ensuring the safe, effective and timely delivery of services.

Working on a 15 hours per week basis – days to suit the individual – you will be reporting to the Operations Director as well as working in tandem with other members of the team such as the Events Coordinator and the HR Manager, to deliver services.

You must be able to work autonomously as well as maintain a collaborative team approach and there is an opportunity for the role to grow and for you to take over more of a leadership role once you are proficient. We need someone who is driven by providing a high level of service and consistent delivery.

Key Responsibilities

* Understand the way the business works and the services offered

* Planning events and producing associated paperwork (e.g. risk assessment forms, equipment lists, event criteria forms, and operation packs).

* Assisting with the planning and delivery of events, booking travel and accommodation

* General office duties (including, stock supplies, tidying, answering the phone and taking messages, ensuring e-mails are replied to or acknowledged, typing up meeting minutes, scanning and filing, etc)

* Liaising with clients, venue managers, and accommodation managers to deliver services and build excellent relationships

* Being responsible for post-event filing and the feedback reports to clients.

* Data entry – online events, venues, and logistics system input

The ideal candidate will have

* Excellent IT Skills – including familiarity with Apple Mac, Microsoft Office & advanced knowledge of Excel

* A confident telephone manner

* Outstanding negotiation, organisational, and planning skills

* Good organisational skills

* The ability to work under direction and on own initiative

* The ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects at once

* A good memory

* A flexible, patient attitude and a good sense of humour

* Clear, legible handwriting and strong communication skills

This can be offreed on a 12 month contract or as a permanent role, is office-based, working a 15-hour week paying £25,000 – £28,000 pro-rata. As the role grows further hours would be considered if you wanted to take more hours on
