The Position

This role would be perfect for an entry level candidate or someone with experience within a manufacturing or quality control environment looking for career progression within a regulated industry. You will work within an experienced and supportive team manufacturing and inspecting medical device components produced using novel technology. The successful candidate will operate a wide range of production equipment for manufacturing biomaterials

Responsibilities

* Working under supervision to take responsibility to carry out production of tissue regenerating medical device components – using specialised machines for production runs, post processing, and general cleanroom preparation and checks.

* Achieve competency in all process setup techniques.

* Ensure all equipment used is appropriately cleaned, maintained and calibrated before use.

* Assist in finished product packaging and labelling.

* Maintain records for equipment use and preventive maintenance and assist in the generation of finished product batch documentation.

* Working under supervision to take responsibility to carry out quality control testing at different stages of the manufacturing process – using standard and specialised laboratory equipment and following defined procedures.

* Achieve competency in all quality inspection techniques.

* Directly assist in Process Improvement actions and Quality Investigations as required.

* Keep up to date with internal technical developments and attend meetings as required.

* Documenting and administering quality records.

* Work safely and follow all Health and Safety procedures.

* Ensure the management team and appropriate team members are aware of issues or potential issues in a timely manner.

* Work with the wider technical team to ensure the efficient running of the site.

* Work to and maintain Quality Standards.

* Good hand-eye coordination to use technical equipment with accuracy Manual dexterity essential.

* Ability to follow instructions and procedures in order to comply with a Quality controlled environment

* IT Literate and competent with office software (MS Word, Excel and data entry)

* Previous experience of working within a laboratory environment desirable but not essential

* Worked in production/manufacturing environment.

* Ability to analyse test results and present a report.

* You must be a real team player with excellent attention to detail, with good hand to eye co-ordination who can demonstrate a high degree of manual dexterity and a high level of technical ability.

* Previous laboratory or cleanroom experience, especially in Quality Control, would be a distinct advantage, although this is not essential as full training will be provided.

* Full training will be provided, no experience necessary
