Chichester College have an opportunity for you to join us as a Human Resources Administrator at our Chichester campus. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). In return, we will offer a competitive salary of £20,070 – £22,820 per annum.

The Chichester College Group is the largest provider of further education in Sussex and is comprised of 5 Colleges based at Chichester, Crawley, Worthing, Haywards Heath, and Brinsbury near Pulborough which is land-based. Through our colleges, we educate and train around 25,000 full and part-time students every year and provide teaching excellence to meet the future needs of the region's employers.

The Human Resources Administrator role:

The Chichester College Group is seeking an efficient and customer focused HR Administrator to join their friendly team. Based at the Group’s campus in the centre of Chichester, you will work within a busy HR team, supporting the recruitment process with timely completion of contractual paperwork and input to the HR database. You will work with managers to ensure the effective recruitment and selection of staff for the Group and provide advice on the Group’s recruitment processes.

Key Responsibilities of our Human Resources Administrator:

Proactively work with managers to ensure the effective recruitment and selection of staff for the Group.

eEnsure that HR related documentation is obtained and processed in a timely manner.

Provide advice on the Group’s recruitment process.

Ensure that all new staff and job changes are effectively administered and within agreed timescales, including verification of recruitment paperwork.

Co-ordinate the maintenance of the HR administrative processes ensuring that the management information system is accurate and up to date.

Assist in the maintenance of a professional working environment.

Contribute to the development and review of HR policies, procedures and working practices. 

Undertake project work as required.

Our ideal Human Resources Administrator should have the below skills and experience:

GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English Grade C or above

Level 3 foundation qualification in a HR related topic (or equivalent) e.g. CPP, or equivalent experience

Experience of office administration including data entry

Experience of working in a Human Resources department

Recent experience of employment contract preparation

Knowledge of updating HR policies and procedures

Knowledge of HR Databases

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
