Full-Time, 6 Month Contract

Summary

Our client holds the NHS contracts for the provision of Home Oxygen Services in the South Central and South East Coast region. Based in Crawley, and operating through a network of field engineers, the company is currently responsible for the installation and management of therapy solutions to over 12,000 Oxygen patients.

The Operations Group is responsible for the supply of oxygen and the provision of Home Care Services according to the specification of Commercial Contracts and Internal Policies ensuring high performance and standardized operations.

Overall Purpose

To carryout deliveries, installations, removals, risk assessments & servicing of oxygen products for NHS patients, with care and consideration, keeping in mind the patients’ needs at all times.

Organisational Position

• The role is based at a depot and will report into the Depot Manager

• This position is a permanent role

• The post is grouped under Field Operations

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Relationships:

Reporting to the local Depot Manager
Communicate daily in a professional manner with patients, carers, HCP’s, Planning department and Call Centre.

Time Commitment:

Normal working hours Monday to Friday (8:30am to 5:00pm). Half hour lunch unpaid.
Must have a flexible attitude towards working hours as occasional overtime & weekend work will be required.
You will be expected to take part in the out of hours on call rota in accordance with the requirements of the local depot manager
Must be available to carry out the on call duties at any time over a 7 day a week period as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, deliver, remove and service Oxygen Products for Dolby Vivisol on behalf of the NHS.
Ensure that all associated consumables are delivered in accordance with the patients HOOF
Work with local depot manager & field service Managers to achieve delivery of service.
Co-operation with the planning department
Ensure compliance with contractual KPI’s
Ensuring that patients receive a quality service at all times
Follow all safe working procedures & operating instructions
Follow all statutory compliance & governance procedures
Accurate data entry on to a mobile PDA device

Training:

Relevant experience in a Medical Oxygen working environment would be an advantage.
Additional training will be provided as necessary for the role

Knowledge:

Oxygen equipment, materials and operating practices of home care oxygen
Principles, methods, procedures, tools and equipment used in the installation, maintenance and repair of home oxygen supply.
Occupational hazards connected within Home Oxygen and necessary safety precautions.

Education, Qualifications and expertise required:

Relevant experience in a Medical Oxygen environment
Clean current valid driver’s licence
Will require an Enhanced DBS
