Our Client leading broadcasting and telecommunications company, are seeking a Governance Analyst to join their team on a 6 month contract based in Osterley office 1-2 days per week.

“The Strategic Data Analytics Programme is responsible for creating a robust, centralized, and connected data environment that unleashes the power of data. We gather data across all customer/prospect journeys in near real-time, to allow fast feedback loops across territories; this platform is at the core of being able to make intelligent customer and business decisions.”

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for applying data governance framework including the management of data, operating model, data policies and standards as well as the application of clearly defined data management definitions for use across multiple projects

• Ensure clear accountability of data governance guidelines is strictly adhered to. In addition, he/she will have a key role working with various stakeholders across the organization to achieve the goals defined in the data governance and data management strategies.

• Assist in the data governance program design and implementation of standards, policies, and processes

• Actively identify organizational and system touchpoints needed to implement/enhance different elements within the data governance program

• Help mentor and educate junior team members and external stake holders to evangelize the new Data Governance concepts, policies, and standards.

• Work with Engineering team to share and contribute to the broader technical vision

What you’ll bring:

• Strong Experience in meta-data management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms

• Extensive knowledge of Data Governance related regulation ( GDPR, Data Protection , CCPA)

• Experience in the use of data catalogues and data quality technologies

• Proven track record in operating large data governance programs. Knowledge of Cloud based big data frameworks such as data lake, relational, Graph and other no-SQL databases

• Should be familiar with cloud and data management trends, including open-source projects, methodologies (connect and collect, hub and spoke, data fabrics, etc.) and leading commercial vendors that relate to data acquisition, management, stewardship, catalogue

• Ability to constructively challenge requirements and current state to increase value add

• Experience delivering & embedding data governance frameworks and roadmaps

• Extensive hands-on technical experience in using and implementing Data Governance Tools (Collibra, Informatica Enterprise Data Catalogue , SAP Master Data Governance etc.

• Ability to identify problems/opportunities, analyse root cause, and present recommendations.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, quantify, and effectively raise business risks associated with Data Governance

• Experience working with multiple teams to drive alignment and results

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, attention to detail, sense of urgency, and commitment to deadlines
