Overview
A rare opportunity has arisen for an individual that wants to take their next step in the world of Finance and benefit from a Graduate Finance programme.
Reporting to senior finance leads (Financial Controller or the Head of FP&A) this role is a great opportunity for someone to be exposed to multiple areas of finance and business whist training to become a qualified accountant. The learning will be spread over 2-3 years depending on accounting qualification training plan and will be split into 6-month modules to be exposed to different areas of finance.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
• Specific day to day focus as a trainee member of the accounts team in the assigned area with defined roles and responsibilities
• Reporting into the manager in the allocated are (changing every 6 months)
• Second reporting line to senior finance for project management and progress along training programme.
• Help managers complete daily tasks (e.g. implementing new policies)
• Understand each department’s daily processes and goals
• Provide administrative support (e.g. data entry)Taking notes on experiences and keeping a log of things learned.
• Compiling reports and making presentations to other staff members
Skills and Knowledge
• Graduate or proven accounting experience
• CIMA trainee
• Good communication skills
• Adaptable – able to continuously improve processes and spot opportunities for
improvement – Microsoft B365 and SAP experience would be highly beneficial but not essential
• Excel experience preferred and ability
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a very hands-on capacity
