Overview
Due to expansion and year-on-year growth we have multiple opportunities for production machine operators within our factory in Woolston, Southampton at our 24/7 operation.

Experience in manufacturing and factory work would be beneficial although not essential as full training will be given. Applicants must be willing to work both shifts of 4-on 4-off, 06:00-18:00/18:00-06:00, including weekends.
Paid holiday entitlement
* 28 days (pro-rata) including bank holidays.

Salary
Starting salary £11.44 per hour paid monthly (last Friday of the month).
Further salary increase depends on progression and on-job training achievements.
The job purpose is to:
To help the operators on the production lines (including checking raw materials and additives, weigh and record products, identify additive hopper bins, palletise and secure finished products by strapping, stretch wrapping and labeling them). Assist operators in changing line filters and cleaning equipment and surrounding areas. Assist in submitting samples to the quality control. In addition you would also be required to:
* To produce to agreed quality standards and production requirements.
* Ensuring all machines are running correctly.
* To adhere to all Health & Safety and other company policies.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
* Other reasonable duties as assigned by Production Leaders.
The candidate
* An understanding and experience of a FMCG manufacturing environment would be advantageous, but not essential, as full training will be given.
* You will need to be able to follow instructions accurately and have a willing attitude and be happy with heavy manual work.
* You will need to work within a small production team in a busy manufacturing environment.
* You must have good English communication skills.
* There are opportunities to learn other skills such as problem solving, time management, organisational skills.
* You should be comfortable with mechanical/touchscreen machinery controls however, full training will be given.
* Timekeeping and punctuality is essential.
* There is the opportunity of progression for those willing and capable.
