Our client are an industry leading manufacturing business currently looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team.
Overall Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced maintenance technician to provide the assistance in the development of the company's reliability-based maintenance strategy in working independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks.Key Duties:
Troubleshooting, repair and replacement of the Electrical systems in a timely and logical manner.
Assist other maintenance personnel with equipment repairs and research.
Assist in the development of critically centred preventative and proactive maintenance regimes.
To maintain equipment information and service files, including the involvement in spare parts management, data entry and procurement.
Liaise with and assist in the managing of third-party contractors including issuance of Permit to Works.
Liaise and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Working safely throughout all activities in line with company safety standards and procedures.Key Skills & Experience Required:
Experience in an engineering discipline within heavy industry.
Time served apprenticeship.
Capable and experienced in PLCs and Automation.
Experience of maintaining machinery and equipment.
Flexible attitude towards selection of tasks.
The ability to read engineering drawings.
Willingness to cross train with colleagues.
Experience of working in a proactive maintenance department.
Good H&S and environmental awareness.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Competent working with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).The Package:
£35,500 per annum.
Day shift role, primarily 6-2 but may be the requirement for 2-10 as and when needed.
