I am recruiting for a DT Technician to join a recent Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school in Brent, North West London for October 2021. This is an October 2021 start role at one of the leading secondary schools in Brent.

The School:

The school are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person to work in their well-equipped and successful Faculty of Technology & Art who has experience of working with resistant materials. This position is to provide support to teaching staff and students ensuring materials are prepared for practical lessons, equipment and resources are properly maintained and all Health & Safety requirements are met.

The ideal individual will be required to prepare, provide, and return tools, equipment and materials as necessary, offering support in lessons, ordering stock and maintenance of workshops and stores. This post also encompasses an understanding of CAD (preferably 2D design), and knowledge of operating and cleaning Laser Machinery.

In addition, the role will also provide administration support for the faculty to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day activities including data entry, photocopying and break and lunchtime duties,

School experience would be desirable but is not essential.
Training in specialist equipment is desirable but training will be provided.
