Mencap’s Data Analyst – Quality Team  (DAQT) would be perfect for an individual who has a real passion for figures and loves to get stuck in to data.

This is a working from home position and so you will need to be proactive with a self-starting mindset.

The focus of the DAQT is to bring our quality data to life using new and innovative methods of reporting and the creativity to make improvements to our existing systems.

Being the subject matter expert and first point of call to all internal stakeholders, you must be able to communicate clearly and present quality data/reports/analysis in an understandable and engaging way. This information will be used to help the organisation understand the challenges and opportunities to inform evidence based decision-making and help generate ideas that lead to improvements.

You will be required to work to deadlines and always strive for continuous improvements whilst working with large volumes of data across a number of systems, databases and workbooks. You will work closely with the Data Administrator, IT Programme Manager and other members of the quality team to ensure that our current systems and reports are up to date, highlighting areas where new reporting is required.

To succeed in this role, we need someone who is:

‘Positively challenging’ and who can have really great, constructive conversations with people across the organisation.

Confident in using Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, coupled with excellent data entry and data accuracy skills.

Experienced in building reports and presenting data whilst recommending solutions and new ways of working.

It is essential that you have extensive Excel experience and are confident with using multiple complex systems.

As part of our interview process, there will be a short exercise to demonstrate your experience to analyse and interpret data. If selected to be a part of the interview stage we will ensure that all candidates are readily prepared with what they need to be successful in this part of the process.
