Overview

We are recruiting for Customer Service Advisors to work in a small team for an insurance organisation based in Southend on Sea, Essex. You must have a confident telephone manner and have customer service or contact centre experience, with fast and accurate data entry skills. Duties will include:

* To deal with customers, brokers and third parties who are reporting motor accidents, stolen vehicles, vehicle fire claims. Notifications can be received by telephone, email or post.

* To liaise with repairers and motor engineer’s to oversee the repair process to ensure that the customer’s claim is progressed as quickly as possible.

* To provide updates where required to both customer’s and brokers.

* To take incoming calls regarding general claim queries and to refer to the technical claims handlers when required

Skills & Capability

* To have the ability to work independently and provide the customer with clear advice to support them through claims process.

* The role requires excellent customer service skills to ensure all claims are handled in accordance with TCF principles and within underwriter’s service level standards.

* Able to multi task, as the ability to be able to listen to the caller and record detailed and accurate information to in-house database systems whilst ensuring that they gather all information regarding the claim is vital in this role.

* Identify your own training needs and to request appropriate training to meet own performance targets.

Working hours are 8am to 7pm on 37.5 hr per week shift rota (so you will work either early or late shifts between these hours). You will be required to work one Saturday in 4 and Bank holidays (on a rota basis). (This could change due to business needs)

Basic salary £19,000 per year with a monthly bonus so yearly earnings will be £21k minimum

Holiday entitlement: 20 days per annum plus bank holidays, free car parking available on site
