We are seeking an Accounts Assistant for a rewarding role within the Mental Capacity department of a market leading law firm in Plymouth. JOB TITLE: Court of Protection Accounts Assistant

LOCATION: Plymouth

HOURS: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday

SALARY: Up to £22, 000 (negotiable dependent on experience)

THE COMPANY AND TEAM: Our client is a highly reputable, market leading law firm with offices across the country. Despite their national presence and impressive growth, this company have maintained a supportive and friendly work culture with open plan offices and regular social events. This firm cover a range of practice areas including Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Employment, Commercial and Conveyancing. This role sits within the Court of Protection Accounts team supporting the wider Mental Capacity department.

THE ROLE: This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody looking to take a step into an administrative, process driven accounts role within a professional environment. You will play a part in a team making a real impact in their client's lives, working closely with vulnerable clients who are unable to manage their own affairs. You will work with the wider team to offer support to clients on all matters related to financial functions. You will:

Process all payments relating to the current case load in line with agreed terms and conditions
Manage any queries that arise
Support the team with the administration of costing files ensuring accurate records are kept
Process bank reconciliations to ensure payments are allocated correctly and report on cash-flow
Opening accounts as appropriate in client's names
Fill out forms such as direct debits completion, letters to suppliers and ad hoc data entry.
Ensure appropriate quality service and compliance WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Knowledge and experience of accounts processes
Strong computer skills including Excel and Word Microsoft Office skills
The ability to manage own workload, and effectively manage processes
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing numerical data
A flexible and enthusiastic approach and the capability to work well and flourish within a team environment
Excellent all round communication skills
Ability to collaborate and work effectively with other colleagues within the wider team and across all practice areas.
