Overview
Our client are a large engineering firm who are looking to recruit a project engineer to join the team.
The Project Engineer is responsible for:
Managing specific accounts on a day-to-day basis; maintaining and improving long term relationships to maximizing sales opportunities with existing and new clients. The Project Engineer is expected to look after all aspects of customer requirements from the bid phase to final delivery. The duties of the Project Engineer will be as follows
– Attending Kick Off and Pre Production Meetings
– Providing technical support to the customer when required.
– Generating and providing quotations.
– Generating job specific documentation
– Generating Microsoft project plan schedules
– Issuing of job cards
– Ordering materials and sub-contract components
– Managing sub-contractors
– Liaising with production to ensure all technical aspect of projects are adhered to.
– Careful monitoring of projects to ensure delivery promises are kept.
– Careful monitoring of costs and production times to ensure commercial targets are achieved
– After sales contact
The role is dependant on experience but would suit a welder or machinist who has some experience but looking to develop
