Overview
Amnis Education are a recruitment agency supporting schools with their long term and permanent staffing appointments. We are currently supporting a good secondary school in Greater Manchester that are seeking an experienced Caretaker. This position is to start ASAP, Monday to Friday 10am – 6pm.
Caretakers play vital role in the maintenance and security of the school grounds.
The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day maintenance in a school environment, by understanding the building and its requirements, providing cleaning, gardening, building maintenance and support across the site.
Caretaker's main responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Carrying out basic repairs
* Keeping on top of health and safety around the school.
* Maintaining security and access to the premises.
* Effective time keeping to execute all tasks for the day.
* Manage heating, lighting and alarms systems to ensure they work correctly.
* Cleaning and supervising cleaners.
