SEND Teaching Assistants or, Support Workers required ASAP**
**Full-time work in the Croydon area. Permanent employment can be offered to the right candidates.
The mixed specialist school is Croydon caters for pupils between the ages of 16-19 years. The highly unique School curriculum is designed to provide education in an integrated manner incorporating learning, therapy and health needs for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). These are compounded by a high degree of dependency, and who require very specialised management for physical disabilities, sensory impairment and complex medical needs.
Responsibilities:
* 1:1/ or small group support.
* To provide a stimulating but safe learning environment for students.
* Supporting pupils with sensory development activities.
* Personal care and move & handling.
* Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:00 during term time.
Prospective candidates are required to have:
* A least 1 years’ experience working in mainstream or SEN/ SEND School(s), or as a Carer/ Support Worker/ Health Care Assistant within the UK.
* Previous experience supporting complex needs(autism, physical disabilities, severe learning difficulties and/ or medical conditions).
* Appropriate right to work in the UK for full-time work.
* Be trained in moving & handling or, be willing to update training.
* Adult/ child safeguarding training.
* An Enhanced adult / child DBS or, be willing to apply for a new DBS through SENCare.
