We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Engineering sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Fire and Security Engineer. The client is offering a full training package as well as flexible working hours.

As the lead technical engineer, you will be expected to carry out takeover visits of new sites, maintenance and repair of existing system, commissioning of small works and or installations as well as offering technical guidance and support to the rest of the team.

£35,000 – £50,000 + Call out + Overtime + Full Training Options & Great Bens

Fire and Security Engineer’s Core Duties

* Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices and in line with KPI’s.

* Carry out reactive repairs as instructed by client and respond within SLA to all work requests in line with client SLA’s/KPI’s.

* Responsible for requesting all required parts for jobs

* Complete risk assessments before all PPM and Reactive works.

* To conduct weekly proactive inspections

* To complete work reports and company documentation

* Assist the sales team with providing information for remedial quotes

Fire and Security Engineer’s Key Experience

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance, installation and commissioning of Fire and security systems, including Fire alarms, Emergency Lighting, Fire Extinguisher etc.Esc card and or industry qualifications/training preferable, should have good understanding of regulations including BS7671 and BS5839, BS5266 and PD6662. Ideally hold qualifications in at least some of these disciplines and or manufacturer training/ experience etc may be considered.

* Hold a full UK Driving License

* Experience carrying out PPM’s

Further training/development may be provided for the right candidate who is willing to develop additional skillset.
