Overview

RM Recruit are working in partnership with a forward-thinking organisation based in Birmingham who are on the lookout for a Finance Assistant for circa 6-8 weeks. There is scope for this role to transition into a permanent role for the successful candidate.

This role is to support the finance team in the delivery of robust and accurate financial information for the group. As the successful candidate you will assist in the provision of financial accounting services and provide general administrative support to the finance team .

Main duties:

* Processing of purchase invoices

* Data entry to the Association’s rent accounting system and ensure that rent payments (cash, cheques & swipe card payments)

* Bank reconciliations

* Delivery of full PL duties to al suppliers

* Supporting the finance team in ad hoc duties

* Input key information into finance system

* Prepare weekly payments runs

* Administer petty cash

* Updating the ledger

* Payment schedule for suppliers

* Process expenses

* Resolving queries in a timely manner

As the ideal candidate, you will be available at short notice / immediately and possess good purchase ledger experience. You will be able to demonstrate a logical approach with a high attention to detail and accuracy. This role is initially office based to allow the successful candidate to settle into the new role, however, there is scope for this to become hybrid. You will be confident in your approach and be able to come on board and hit the ground running with minimal supervision required.
