Overview

We are recruiting for a Read Coder & Summariser to work for our NHS client in Shipley.

You will support the data quality team in their work and maintain up to date knowledge around QOF, Information Governance, Information Management and Data Protection.

Key Responsibilities:

* Linking read coding to existing and new problems by marking as a new/ongoing episode and attach it in patient record

* Code complex medical documents and summarise medical record envelopes

* Manage NHS mail and incoming post, including scanning and attaching to patient-related documents

* Maintain all patient records appropriately working towards IG standards and Data Protection

* Manage E-Consults, subject access requests, death certificates and cremation forms

* Support team with Retinal screening reports

Key Requirements:

* Working knowledge of MS Office applications

* Understanding of data protection legislation

* Experience using medical systems

* NHS or General Practice experience

* High attention to detail

* Previous Data Coding and Summarising experience is highly desirable

This is a part-time permanent role, based on-site at Shipley. You will be working 15-20 hours per week.

Salary: £9.80 – £10.13p/h
