Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join the team based in Luton. You will be joining on a full-time, 9-month fixed term basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

About the Payroll Administrator role:

As their Payroll Administrator, you will support the Payroll & Billing Manager to deliver an accurate, timely and efficient payroll service for the organisation adopting a right first-time approach to pay and providing a customer focused payroll service for all theirtemporary candidates across the Celsus Group subsidiaries.

Your responsibilities as their Payroll Administrator will include:

Responsible, as part of a team, for the preparation and processing of daily payroll for over 5000 candidates; review and ensure accuracy, by approving timesheets processed by our outsourced third-party supplier, to ensure compliance to our high standards

Process and record all relevant payroll deductions, i.e., accommodation costs, training costs, etc.

Assist in the accurate and efficient processing of the payroll in the timeline provided

Accurately complete manual calculations for advances payments

Update the Company CRM System accordingly, for example input all tasks related to each timesheet payment and to ensure candidate information is correct for HMRC reporting

Answers queries relating to timesheets and pay deductions

Identify, investigate, and resolve temporary payroll discrepancies.

Maintain confidentiality of candidate pay records.

Adherence to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant laws

Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review on a weekly basis

Accurately adding and amending candidates bank details to CRM & Accounting systems ensuring compliance checks are completed via Companies House, umbrella Company audits & HMRC

Experience of working as part of a team

Excellent Data Entry skills, processing & authorising a high volume of timesheets

Excellent IT Skills & ability to pick up new systems quickly

Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions within an accounting system

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

Exceptional problem solving/judgment skills along with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure

Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks and meet all deadlines

Demonstratable aptitude to listen and communicate to a high standard, both verbally and in writing. and to disseminate information in an easily understood and appropriate format

Strong interpersonal skills
